GETTING TO OUR KYOTO HOTEL
Options for travelling to and from the airports are:
1. Arrange your own private transfer through either NearMe via their website LINK HERE or Airport Taxi Transfers, via their website LINK HERE
2. Take the train. Both Itami and Kansai airports have train services to Kyoto station and you could then take a taxi or Uber to our starting hotel. Google maps is your friend!
3. Take a taxi/Uber (1 hour 20 minutes drive from Kansai airport, or 45 minutes from Itami airport)
4. Take the Limousine bus, link HERE
STARTING AND FINISHING POINT HOTELS
The starting point hotel is Resol Sanjo Kawaramachi, in Kyoto. Here is the address in Japanese in case you need to give it to a taxi driver:

The finishing point hotel in Osaka will be confirmed closer to departure.
IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING LUGGAGE
On Days 12 and 15 the group takes domestic flights to/from Amami Islands.
Checked luggage (1 piece): total maximum weight of 20kg. Should not exceed total outside dimension of 200cm (height: 120cm, width: 60cm, depth: 50cm)
Carry on luggage (1 personal item, 1 piece of carry-on luggage): total maximum weight of 10kg. Carry-on luggage should not exceed total outside dimension of 100cm (width: max 45cm, height: max 35cm, depth: max 20cm)

NOTE RE MUD DYEING ON DAY 12
On Day 12 you will attend a mud dyeing workshop and dye a cotton scarf. Our hosts have generously invited you to also bring one item of your own to dye, if you wish. This item can be a garment, cloth, or skein of thread, of no more than 150g. For reference, a t-shirt weighs about 150g. Natural fibres such as cotton, linen or silk are preferred. Synthetic blends are acceptable but please be aware they will not take up the dye as successfully. Please ensure your item is pre-washed, even if it is new.
