We’ve tried to anticipate all questions by providing information on costs, conditions, workshops and activities etc, in the documents below but if you have any further queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us. The To Do List and the Trip Notes are particularly helpful for dates and questions).
OPTIONS FOR TRAVELLING TO/FROM AIRPORTS
Some of you have not booked arrival or departure transfers through us. Alternative options for travelling to and from the airports are:
1. Arrange your own private transfer. Two options are: NearMe via their website: LINK HERE or Airport Taxi Transfers, via their website: LINK HERE
2. Take the train from the airport station to Ueno Station. Find the Central Gate and from there use the Asakusa exit. Once you’re on the steps outside the Asakusa exit, turn left. The Resol Ueno hotel is a short way up the street, on the right. Google maps can also assist once you’re outdoors.
3. Take a taxi/Uber (before getting in a taxi, check if they take cash or card)
4. Take the Limousine bus, link HERE

UPDATE RE TOKYO HOTEL BREAKFASTS
Update as at July 2026. Our Tokyo hotel is gradually phasing out their breakfast offerings, and during the recent May tour, the single offering that was available was quite unsatisfactory. After much consideration, we have decided that for the Tokyo part of the tour, rather than continue with the unsatisfactory breakfast option at the hotel, we will provide cash to each of you (Y1000 per person per day) so you can purchase your own breakfasts nearby. The itinerary has been updated to reflect this adjustment. In the case of pre-tour accommodation booked through us, please purchase your own breakfasts and you will be reimbursed up to 1000 yen per day by your guide Tomoko on Day 1.
