The tour is confirmed to proceed, so you’re welcome to go ahead and book flights. Please continue to tell your friends, craft community and family about the trip – there are still places available. Please only share the following public information pack page which is also available from the website homepage tour schedule.
IMPORTANT DATES AND REMINDERS
- Bookings received after 25 September 2026 must be paid in full at the time of booking.
- Our starting point hotel is Smile Lanna, 129/1 Chang Lor Road, Tambon Hai Ya, Amphur Muang, Chiang Mai.
- Our tour will commence with a welcome briefing meeting at 6pm on 26 November at Smile Lanna hotel, Chiang Mai .
- Our finishing point hotel is Cozy An Boutique Hotel, Kingkitsalat Rd, Luang Prabang.
- Closer to departure, you’ll each receive an individual Booking Summary via email. This document will include instructions for meeting your arrival transfer at Chiang Mai airport and the number to call in the unlikely event that you’re unable to locate your driver, the addresses and phone numbers of our starting and finishing point hotels, details of any pre/post-tour accommodation or departure transfers booked/pre-paid through us.
- Re-check visa and entry requirements for Thailand and Laos specific to your nationality as entry requirements can change at any time. If required, apply for a visa for Thailand. Visas are the responsibility of the individual traveller. As per the Trip Notes, we ask that all members of this group obtain their Laos visas at the border on Day 8, and NOT in their home country prior to travel to minimise border-crossing delays. Please carry at least 1 passport photo and US$45 cash (or equivalent in THB or LAK) for your visa application.
- Arrange for either a global roaming cell/mobile phone package from your provider, purchase an eSIM or hire/purchase a global roaming WIFI device. Refer to the Trip Notes for more information. - Upload your travel documents and vaccination certificates to your phone and email them to your next of kin. Carry them at all times during your travels.
- Upload WhatsApp on your phone at least 2 weeks prior to departure. We’ll create a WhatsApp chat group for this tour and use it to provide last minute pre-tour updates and daily on-tour updates and reminders. Our local tour leader will be added to the WhatsApp group on day 1 of the tour.
- Our delightful local tour leader is Ms Lalada Kaewpim (Katie). Lalada will be added to our WhatsApp group on day 1 of the tour.
- Complete an online Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 3 days prior to your arrival in Thailand at https://tdac.immigration.go.th/arrival-card/#/home
