IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING LUGGAGE
On Days 12 and 15 we take domestic flights to/from Amami Islands. Please carefully note the luggage restrictions.
Checked luggage (1 piece): total maximum weight of 20kg. Should not exceed total outside dimension of 200cm (height: 120cm, width: 60cm, depth: 50cm)
Carry on luggage (1 personal item, 1 piece of carry-on luggage): total maximum weight of 10kg. Carry-on luggage should not exceed total outside dimension of 100cm (width: max 45cm, height: max 35cm, depth: max 20cm)

IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING AIRPORT TRANSFERS
We are unable to offer airport international arrival or departure transfers for this tour. Options for travelling to and from the airports pre and post tour include:
1. Arrange your own private transfer. Two options are: NearMe via their website: LINK HERE or Airport Taxi Transfers, via their website: LINK HERE
2. Take the train. Both Itami and Kansai airports have train services to Kyoto and Osaka stations.
3. Take a taxi/Uber (if taking a taxi, check before you get in if they take cash or card)

Our starting point hotel in Kyoto is Hotel Resol Sanjo Kawaramachi Check in is from 3:00pm

IMPORTANT INFO RE MUD DYEING ON DAY 13
As per the invitation to bring your own item to mud dye on Day 13 at Kanai Kogei, Kanai-san confirms that it’s ok to bring a skein of yarn instead of a garment. For each of us, the standard weight for the ONE ITEM ONLY that we choose to bring (garment, skein etc) is approx 150g. For reference, a regular t-shirt weighs about 150g. If your item ends up weighing more, he will assess the extra cost at the time.
Additionally, Kansai-san confirms that while natural fibre items are preferred, a synthetic blend may be acceptable but please be aware synthetic fibres don’t absorb mud dyes as well as natural fibres.
